Picture this: you're at the train station during rush hour, surrounded by a crowd of people. It's hectic, overwhelming, and before you know it, your mind starts racing, your breath's short, you're feeling dizzy and sweaty. You immediately recognize the signs: "It's another panic attack".

Does this situation sound familiar? You might have agoraphobia. But hey, you're not alone! In the Netherlands alone, around 170,000 people experience
this disorder, and this percentage is growing rapidly, especially among young people.

That's why I’m introducing Brainstorm, an app developed by and for people with agoraphobia. When you're in the midst of an anxiety or panic attack, Brainstorm is able to distract you with the help of music, visuals and games. The app also provides easy, quick and discreet access to general mental health information and advice. Brainstorm is designed to ease the daily lives of those facing agoraphobia, providing a safe space when times get rough.
